Odd Jubilees

In February 1552 Suleiman, an elephant which was presented to the Habsburg Archduke Maximilian II by King John III of Portugal, ran through Linz.

 

For the fact, that it was the first elefant the people in the city have ever seen until then, contraire reanimated Suleiman on the facade of a building, where engravings still remind the visitors of this happening.
